How to determine your Safari browser version and allow cookies

Use the information below to determine your Safari browser version, allow cookies, and if necessary clear cookies/cache.
 
Check for Safari version:
  1. Open the Safari browser.
  2. In the Safari menu, click on Safari located at the top left of the screen.
  3. Choose About Safari from the menu. The window that appears will show the current version of Safari.
 
 
SAFARI 8
 
To Allow Cookies:
  1. Open Safari browser.
  2. In the Safari window, click on Safari located at the top left corner of the screen, next to the Apple logo. On the menu that appears, click on Preferences.
  3. On the screen that appears, click on the Privacy menu.
  4. On the menu that appears, under Cookies and Website Data:   Always Allow
  5. Restart Safari.
 
To Clear Cookies and Cache:
  1. Open Safari browser.
  2. In the Safari window, click on Safari located at the top left corner of the screen, next to the Apple logo. On the menu that appears, click on Preferences.
  3. On the screen that appears, click on the Privacy menu.
  4. On the menu that appears, under Cookies and Website Data, click on Remove all Website Data.
  5. At the pop-up window, click on Remove Now.
  6. Restart Safari.
 
SAFARI 5.x to 7.x
 
To Allow Cookies:
  1. Open Safari browser.
  2. In the Safari window, click on Safari located at the top left corner of the screen, next to the Apple logo. On the menu that appears, click on Preferences.
  3. On the screen that appears, click on the Privacy menu.
  4. On the menu that appears, under Block Cookies:   Never
  5. Click Done.
  6. Restart Safari.
 
To Clear Cookies and Cache:
  1. Open Safari browser.
  2. In the Safari window, click on Safari located at the top left corner of the screen, next to the Apple logo. On the menu that appears, click on Reset Safari.
  3. At the pop-up screen that appears, uncheck everything except for Remove all Website Data . Click on Reset.
  4. Restart Safari.
 
SAFARI 5
 
To Allow Cookies:
  1. Open Safari browser.
  2. In the Safari window, click on Safari located at the top left corner of the screen, next to the Apple logo. On the menu that appears, click on Preferences.
  3. On the screen that appears, click on the Security menu.
  4. On the menu that appears, under Accept Cookies:   Always
  5. Restart Safari.
 
To Clear Cookies and Cache:
  1. Open Safari browser.
  2. In the Safari window, click on Safari located at the top left corner of the screen, next to the Apple logo. On the menu that appears, click on Reset Safari.
  3. At the pop-up screen that appears, enable/check :   Empty the cache and Remove all cookies. Click on Reset.
  4. Restart Safari.
